PE News:
Parents please remember to pack the proper shoes for PE in your childs backpack. Check with your classroom teacher for a schedule to see when your child has PE.

Each week students will be developing different physical skills, learning health, and gaining character traits that can be applied in life and sport. Attached below is they year plan (**subject to change)

Jump Rope for Heart:

Thank you to all that donated to American Heart Association. Our school raised $1,179.00. Thank you gifts for those that raise money will arrive before spring break.

 

Nov 17th - Guinness World Record Cup Stacking Day.

Thank you to all who sent in the toiletries for our Stacking Day. I took the items to the church at the end of Leroy Drive. We had around 11 lbs worth of toiletries.

The American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (AAHPHERD) puts together a calendar each month with daily ideas for ways to get active. Check out the links below to see this month's calendar. Try out some of the suggestions with your family. Remember, everyone should try to get 60 minutes of physical activity each day!
Celebrate Breakfast!
The contributions of a nutritious breakfast to the health and learning ability of students are well publicized. Children who eat breakfast tend to have:
  • More positive attitude towards school
  • Better attendance
  • Less tardiness
  • Improved math and reading scores
  • Fewer reported discipline problems
  • Healthier body weight
  • Improved intake of calcium, iron and B vitamins
