I am thrilled to be part of the Leroy Elementary community and the fourth grade team! Our school is filled with exceptional teachers who always put students' needs first!
I have spent over ten years teaching 3rd-5th grade in Colorado and New York. Although I knew in my heart I wanted to be a teacher since I was four years old, I pursued a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Spanish from Fordham University. After a few years in the business world, I finally listened to my heart and found my true calling of becoming a teacher. I went back to school and received a Masters of Science in Elementary Education and Special Education from Brooklyn College. Instilling a love of learning, reading, and the world in children fuels my fire as an educator.
I am passionate about teaching and learning. I love traveling, history, and culture. I am a Boston native, but I lived in NYC for eight years before moving to colorful Colorado. On the weekends you can find me spending time with my husband Josh, who is also an educator, my son Theodore, and our dog Huxley. Additionally, I enjoy cooking, going to the gym, hiking, biking, kayaking, water sports, sewing, and of course reading! Finding compelling books for your child to love fills my heart with joy.
Fourth grade is a magical year of learning and many fun projects. I’m so excited to be your child’s fourth grade teacher!
