Dear Leroy Families,

We hope that you enjoyed spring break next week. We’re in the final stretch of the school year! Monday, April 13th is a scheduled Teacher Work Day and there will be no school for students. 

 

Thursday, April 16th is Pig the Pug Carnival Night from 4:30-6pm. We are excited to share ways to help your student become a stronger reader through fun games and activities. Each student will receive a gift for attending and dinner  A separate flier has been sent home.  We hope that you will join us for this fun event!

 

Take a Child To Work Day

Thursday, April 23, 2026, has been designated as Take A Child to Work Day. This annual event, originally established for girls, includes all students and is primarily intended for children 8-12 years of age.  Students who are slightly younger or older may also participate.  The purpose is to help youth make connections between education and a future in the workplace.  Adams 12 Five Star Schools allows students the opportunity to spend the day at their parent’s workplace.  Many children from District 12 participate in shadowing their parent(s) at work on this day.

 

In the event that you choose to take your child to your workplace, we ask that parents/guardians email your child’s teacher by Friday, April 20, 2026. A phone call to the attendance line is not necessary if you have excused your child via email.

Children who attend work with a parent will not be counted absent from school.  However, students will be expected to complete all make-up assignments, or alternate assignments related to their shadow experience.

CMAS Testing

CMAS testing for our 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th graders will take place April 7th through the 16th. A flyer with detailed information was sent home with students.  We appreciate that you make every effort to have your child here on time, especially on the testing dates. Please do not schedule any appointments that require your child to be pulled early on testing days. Makeup sessions pull students from classroom learning and do not always net the best effort or results. Any questions you may have regarding the testing schedule or ways to prepare your child, please ask your child’s teacher or Mr. Riley here at Leroy. The District Art Show is here! Please come and view the artwork collection from LEROY ELEMENTARY students at the Adams 12 Five Star School 2024-25 District Art Show. It will be held at the Front Range Community College Library located at 3705 West 112th Avenue, Westminster from April 8th-27th. (Monday through Thursday from 9am-8pm, Friday 10am-5pm, Saturday and Sunday 1pm-5pm) If your child's artwork has been chosen for the show, a letter will be sent home after spring break to notify families that your child has been selected. Dogs on School Property

We love animals and dogs but cannot have them on school property to ensure the safety of our community. Please keep all pets at home or in your car when picking up and dropping off your children. 

 

Northglenn Middle School Open House 

Save the date! Tuesday, April 21 st, 2026  4:30-6:30pm

This is an opportunity for future 6th grade students and their families to meet teachers and tour the building. See attachment 

 

Kindergarten Registration

Enroll now for the 2026-2027 School Year. FOR: INCOMING Kindergartners thru 5^th Grade

(Kindergarteners must turn 5 by October 1)   Where: www.adams12.org (NEW ENROLLMENT)

What to upload:  Student's birth certificate, immunization records, parent/guardian photo ID,

1 current proof of residency (lease, utility bill, internet, etc. a proof that pertains to the home)

Panorama Survey Results

Our survey results are in. Please read this document to see our points of pride and where we can go moving forward. Our team is busy developing plans for how to address both during our staff meeting times and we hope you are all able to see some changes in the next school year as a result of your feedback!

We are looking forward to spring and positive growth with all of our children. Thank you for continuing to partner with us to make this the best experience possible.
