MARCH NEWSLETTER

Dear Leroy Families,

We want to begin with thanking our Leroy families for attending parent/teacher conferences and for your involvement and support of Leroy.  We hope conferences provided you with valuable information about your child’s growth and achievement in school.  Thank you to everyone who completed the parent survey. We will share the results of this information in an upcoming newsletter.

There are many ways to connect to our Leroy community in the month of March. We hope to see you and your family! 

• February 27-March 3rd is School Spirit Week.  See the separate flier for specific days. 
• Wednesday, March 1, 2023  is our 2nd Skate City Night from 4-6pm 
• Thursday, March 2nd is Read Across America Day.  Each class will be visited by a guest reader that will share a book and then talk about why reading is important in their career.  
• Tuesday, March 7st at 8:05 am - We invite our Afghan families to join us for Tea with the Principals
• March 20th-27th is Spring Break.  Students return to school on Tuesday, March 28th. 
• Thursday, March 30th @ 2:15 pm is our next Parent Group meeting.

CMAS testing information for our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders will be occurring in April.  Specific dates will be added to our school calendar on the Leroy website prior to Spring Break. Creating a focused testing atmosphere is a true team effort to accomplish and we appreciate your efforts as parents to have your children well rested, ready, and energized for testing! We also appreciate that you make every effort to have your child here on time, especially on the testing dates. Please do not schedule any appointments that require your child to be pulled early on testing days. Makeup sessions pull students from classroom learning and do not always net the best effort or results. Any questions you may have regarding the testing schedule or ways to prepare your child, please ask your child’s teacher or any staff member here at Leroy. Leroy has been experiencing some vandalism in our outdoor spaces. If you have children that utilize the property please remind them to keep our school safe and clean. We have outdoor cameras we review when issues arise.
