Dear Leroy Families,

Happy March 1st! We had unseasonably warm weather in February that reminds us that spring will be upon us before we know it. Thank you to everyone who completed the parent survey. We will share the results of this information in an upcoming newsletter.

There are many ways to connect to our Leroy community in the month of March. We hope to see you and your family!

March 2nd-6th is School Spirit Week. See the separate flyer for specific days.
Tuesday, March 3rd is Read Across America Celebration Day. Each class will be visited by a guest reader who will share a book and then talk about why reading is important in their career.
Thursday, March 19,2026, is our 2nd Skate City Night from 4-6 pm
Spring Break is Monday, March 23rd-Friday, March 27th
World’s Finest Chocolate Fundraiser - February 24th-March 16th

World’s Finest Chocolate Fundraiser is underway and will go through March 16th. Proceeds from this fundraiser will help pay for staff recognition and incentives and student incentives and busing for all field trips. This helps to keep student fees at a minimum. We appreciate your support.

Yearbooks will be for sale soon! Sale goes through March 31st. They will be priced $17.00 each. You can purchase online or by check at the front office.

Please be sure to obey all traffic laws when you are dropping off and picking up your children and be particularly mindful to not park in the crosswalks so we can keep everyone safe.

We love dogs here at Leroy BUT we cannot have dogs on school property. This is a district policy and out of respect for our entire community, please keep dogs at home.

We are seeing a lot of toys at school and it is causing a lot of issues. Please refrain from allowing your children to bring toys to school, especially toys they are handing out to peers. We really appreciate your support in this so we can avoid challenging peer conflicts that can be more easily avoided.

CMAS testing for our 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th graders will take place April 7th through the 16th. Look for the attached flyer for more information. Also, your child’s teacher will send families a more detailed schedule and there will be one on the Leroy Calendar as well. We appreciate that you make every effort to have your child here on time, especially on the testing dates. Please do not schedule any appointments that require your child to be pulled early on testing days. Makeup sessions pull students from classroom learning and do not always net the best effort or results. Any questions you may have regarding the testing schedule or ways to prepare your child, please ask your child’s teacher or Mr. Riley here at Leroy.
