Hello there. This is my fourth year teaching Special Education at Leroy, and my 13th year overall. My previous experience included two years of teaching health to students with emotional disabilities, followed by eight years of teaching students with emotional disabilities inAffective Needs programs. In addition, I have been a learning specialist for two years. This year I have transitioned from Affective Needs here at Leroy to Learning specialist. I am very excited to be taking on a new role. I just finished my masters in Reading Science and will have a dyslexia certification to go along with it. I have been trained in the Orton Gillingham method which is a systematic, multi-sensory approach to help students master the alphabetic code in order to improve decoding and ultimately their comprehension. I look forward to building relationships with your students.
